How Our Passion Created Your Stay
At the dawn of the nineteenth century, a street we now proudly know as Genesee Street was just beginning to stake its claim as the commercial heart of the city. From this modest strip emerged a small beacon of enterprise at 165 Genesee Street. Once a simple wooden store trading groceries, fruit, and fish, it grew into the four-story storybook building that still stands today. Over the years, it became known for its financial prowess, hosting banks, private firms, diamond dealers, and drugstores, eventually landing firmly as Freeman & Foote Jewelers - before we made it our own.
Our own diamond in the rough was now an old, yet clean slate for 165 Genesee Street’s next best pursuit. This time, a three-story rental open for anyone to come and see what Utica is all about, just as those who touched this space so many years ago once did.
